Due to the lower wattage of the lights, your lighting system will have less voltage drop, so you can use thinner cables in more simplified layouts. Our LED lamps are more efficient than both incandescent and halogen lamps Halogen lamps generally operate at 12-15 lpw (lumens per watt efficacy) whereas Illumicare’s LED lamps produce approximately 40 lpw. A 6W MR16 LED lamp produces equivalent light to a 20W halogen lamp while consuming less than 1/3 of the power. Large energy savings, with 10 lamps running for 6 hours (average nightly run-time) you would save .84 KW/hr per day, or 307 KW/hr per year, or approximately $37 per year (based on a national average of $.12/KWhr).
